and night unto night sheweth knowledge. - That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
