The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot. | The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. |
Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. | Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. |
Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. | Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. |
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. | The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. |
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? | What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? |

The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. | He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. | Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people. | Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. |
