  • I acknowledged my sin to You,
    And my iniquity I have not hidden.
    I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
    And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
  • Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
  • Your word I have hidden in my heart,
    That I might not sin against You.
  • In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
    But he who restrains his lips is wise.
  • Righteousness exalts a nation,
    But sin is a reproach to any people.
  • For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
  • I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
  • For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
  • But He was wounded for our transgressions,
    He was bruised for our iniquities;
    The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
    And by His stripes we are healed.
  • But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
  • Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
    Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
    Cease to do evil.
  • The way of the Lord is strength for the upright,
    But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
  • Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
  • And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
  • This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
  • He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
    But he who is careless of his ways will die.
  • Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
  • That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
  • I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions,
    And like a cloud, your sins.
    Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
  • In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
  • When I kept silent, my bones grew old
    Through my groaning all the day long.
  • Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
  • But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  • As far as the east is from the west,
    So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
