- I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness. - But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
- Wicked people earn deceitful wages,
but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- He will again have compassion on us.
He will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. - Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name.
Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake. - Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

He knows what is in the darkness,

to cut off their memory from the earth. - You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’ but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
- For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
- “I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh,” says the Lord Yahweh, “when I am proven holy in you before their eyes.”
- And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
- For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
- For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
- Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
