- In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

but sin is a disgrace to any people. - I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
- For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
- I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;

Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright,
but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. - Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
- Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
- This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. - Their eyes were opened, and they both knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together, and made coverings for themselves.
- I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions,
and, as a cloud, your sins.
Return to me, for I have redeemed you. - Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
- In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
- You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.
- Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
