- “Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
We are the clay, and you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand. - Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.
- But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
- But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.
- I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.
- Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
- For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.
- Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.
