Chinese (traditional)By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. Like a city that is broken down and without walls
is a man whose spirit is without restraint. Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. Haven’t you known?
Haven’t you heard?
The everlasting God, Yahweh,
the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint.
He isn’t weary.
His understanding is unsearchable. Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance. See how good and how pleasant it is
for brothers to live together in unity! This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother. So teach us to count our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. A man’s pride brings him low,
but one of lowly spirit gains honor. The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me,
because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble.
He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and release to those who are bound. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of our God stands forever. For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.” He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up. My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” He who hides hatred has lying lips.
He who utters a slander is a fool. For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies. Who “will pay back to everyone according to their works.” But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.Next verse!With image
