Chinese (traditional)But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil.
I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him. Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.” For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving. Yahweh is my shepherd;
I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend;
even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. That as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness,
for they are from old times.
Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh. As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent. Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Let all that you do be done in love. For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous. “If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.” Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise.
When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning. As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
