Chinese (traditional)A fool takes no pleasure in understanding
but only delights in expressing his own opinions. In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger. Guide me in your truth and instruct me,
for you are God, my Savior,
and in you I hope all the day long. Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves. God saved us and called us to a life of holiness, not because of our works but according to his own purpose and the grace that has been bestowed upon us in Christ Jesus from all eternity. When I am terrified,
I place my trust in you. Dear children,
let us love not in word or speech
but in deed and truth. Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may grow rich in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything. For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Authority will be granted to the diligent,
but the lazy will be enslaved. Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware. O Lord, all my longing is known to you,
and my sighs are not hidden from you. Stay awake and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak. Then it will come to pass
that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. The beginning of wisdom is: acquire wisdom,
and no matter what the cost, acquire understanding. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but humbly regard others as better than yourselves. Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time. He has satisfied the thirsty
and filled the hungry with good things. He brought you low, allowing you to suffer from hunger. He then fed you with manna, something with which your fathers were not familiar, so that you might come to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life. He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand ever unshaken. I am the gate.
Anyone who enters through me
will be saved.
He will go in and out
and will find pasture. Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.Next verse! With image
