Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil. This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. But godliness with contentment is great gain. Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Seek the Lord and his strength,
seek his face continually. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
