I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible. “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.” No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery. It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. Fools give full vent to their rage,
but the wise bring calm in the end. The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.Next verse!With image
