Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Anger
- Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
- Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered.
- You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor hold any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all offenses. - A gentle answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger. - You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- One who is slow to anger has great understanding;
But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness. - A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back. - And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”
- A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor. - Avoiding strife is an honor for a person,
But any fool will quarrel. - Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife,
But wisdom is with those who receive counsel. - Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.
- ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not look at you in anger.
For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. One who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will lodge in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”Next verse!With image
