Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Anger
- “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
- Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger. - He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
But he who is impulsive exalts folly. - And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
- A fool vents all his feelings,
But a wise man holds them back. - A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. - It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel. - Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
- ‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.
For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not remain angry forever.’ - Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah
