Chinese (traditional)- For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
- Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
- “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
- Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
- For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
- Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” - You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.
- But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
- As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
- Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory. - Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
- And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
- Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse! With image
