Faith (4/4)

  • Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
  • And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
  • Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”
  • So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.
  • Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
  • Therefore let us go on toward perfection, leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and not laying again the foundation: repentance from dead works and faith toward God, instruction about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
  • You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder.
  • Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
  • All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
  • Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless, indeed, you fail to meet the test!

Bible verse of the day
