For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?

When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts.

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
