Law (2/5)

This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Observe the ordinances of the Lord, your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and what he witnessed in writing in the law of Moses. In this way you will prosper in whatever you do and wherever you go.And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.
“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and every other commandment are all summed up in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Do not judge, so that you in turn may not be judged.Judge not, that you be not judged.
A wise man will heed commandments, but a babbling fool will come to grief. The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.
Those who love your law have great peace; they encounter no stumbling blocks.Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.
Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in accord with the law of the Lord.Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!
However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself. You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
This is the end of my teaching. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for that is the responsibility of everyone. The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
You must understand, brethren, that it is through him that forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you. All those who believe are justified from all the things from which they could not be justified by the Law of Moses.Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
Whoever observes the commandments will live, but the one who scorns them will die.Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life; he who despises his ways will die.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but cherish my commandments in your heart, for they will bring you length of days, more years of life, and an abundance of prosperity. My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness.Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us.Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.
Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
