| Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace. | You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. |
| The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple. | Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple. |
| The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever. | The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! |

| When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt. | If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. |
| Anyone who has received my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. | One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him. |
| Every word you utter is true, and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. | All of your words are truth. Every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. |
| Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness. | Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. |
| I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing. | I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing! |
| Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them. | Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. |

Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God. |
| You shall observe my commandments and obey them. I am the Lord. | Therefore you shall keep my commandments, and do them. I am Yahweh. |
| The precepts of the Lord are right, causing the heart to rejoice. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving light to the eyes. | Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. |
| Whoever observes the commandments will live, but the one who scorns them will die. | He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. |
| Your statutes are my everlasting heritage; they are the very joy of my heart. | I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart. |

| But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made. | But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction. |
| The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, but destruction for evildoers. | The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. |
