- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Fear God and keep his commandments,

give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

who walk according to the law of the Lord. - He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
- For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
