- The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

And He watches over the way of His godly ones. - A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. - They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.
- You, Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me;
Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me. - Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
- If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
- The Lord will also be a stronghold for the oppressed,
A stronghold in times of trouble. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken. - And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
- It does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
- For You bless the righteous person, Lord,
You surround him with favor as with a shield. - The Lord watches over strangers;
He supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He thwarts the way of the wicked. - Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.
- For You light my lamp;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness. - Seek the Lord,
All you humble of the earth
Who have practiced His ordinances;
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
Perhaps you will remain hidden
On the day of the Lord’s anger. - For he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be remembered forever.
