- As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God. - My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Deep calls to deep
at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves
have gone over me. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.
For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.Next verse!With image
