Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about '['
- Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
- Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish. - And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.
- Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
- Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
- Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
- For in much wisdom is much grief:
and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. - Blessed is he
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
- And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
- He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation.Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord. The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.Next verse!With image
