- A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”
- Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines,
So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - As iron sharpens iron,

- So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones. - Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool,
Much less are lying lips to a prince. - Grandchildren are the crown of the old,
And the glory of sons is their fathers. - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- And behold, a voice from the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
- And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
Save me and I will be saved,
For You are my praise. - From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.
- One who conceals an offense seeks love,
But one who repeats a matter separates close friends. - One who is on the path of life follows instruction,
But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray. - Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.
- And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever.
- Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor,
Obtain justice for the orphan,
Plead for the widow’s case. - Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent.
- For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
- For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. - For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
- For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.
- If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
- May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands. - Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His provisions and His statutes which He has commanded you.
- And I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
- But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
- Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.
- But the one who boasts is to boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.
- Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord sustains the righteous. - And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
- Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
- “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
