Bible Verses about '17:5'
- A friend loves at all times;
and a brother is born for adversity. - Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects.
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

He was extolled with my tongue. - Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.

and gracious in all his works. - So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
- To him therefore who knows to do good and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin.
- A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Excellent speech isn’t fitting for a fool,
much less do lying lips fit a prince. - Children’s children are the crown of old men;
the glory of children is their parents. - Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed.
Save me, and I will be saved;
for you are my praise. - From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
- He who covers an offense promotes love;
but he who repeats a matter separates best friends. - The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
- I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
- He is in the way of life who heeds correction,
but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. - This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
- Learn to do well.
Seek justice.
Relieve the oppressed.
Defend the fatherless.
Plead for the widow. - For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
- The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.
- Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise.
When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning. - Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Establish the work of our hands for us.
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- You shall diligently keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
- I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
- But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
- But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow.
- But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.
- Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - “They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.”
- Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.
