- To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
- Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
- For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable. - Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
- For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken. - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
- The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein. - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
- And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.Next verse!With image
