- To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend,
Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And You are exalted as head over all. - Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
- For with God nothing will be impossible.
- Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable. - Both riches and honor come from You,
And You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all. - For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. - Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts. - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
- The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein. - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
- You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
- He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him. - Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Execute true justice,
Show mercy and compassion
Everyone to his brother.
Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless,
The alien or the poor.
Let none of you plan evil in his heart
Against his brother.’
