- Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

- The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.

- My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted.

‘For we too are his offspring.’ - For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.
- We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.
- The vine withers,
the fig tree droops.
Pomegranate, palm, and apple—
all the trees of the field are dried up;
surely, joy withers away
among the people.
