Any (3/4)

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. For the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
