For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

The godly are showered with blessings; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
