- And the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day.
- And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
- Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. - Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near. - I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
- They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
- A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
- Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
- Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. - Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
- Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
- Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. - For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
- Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
- When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? - Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”
The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
