Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. | Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. |
Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen. | To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. |
God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. | Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. |
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. | Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. |
But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. | But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled. |
