| Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. | Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. |
| This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. | This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. |

| But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. | But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. |
| For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. | For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. |
| He must increase, but I must decrease. | He must increase, but I must decrease. |
| Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. | For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. |
| But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. | But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. |
| But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. | But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |
| Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. | Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. |
| For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. | For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. |
| Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. | And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. |

| Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? | And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? |
| You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless. | Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. |
| By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. | Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. |
| It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave. | But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. |
| Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. | He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. |
| By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. |
| If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. | Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. |
| And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. | And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. |
| Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. | For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. |
| You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. | Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. |
