- What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
- So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

- And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
- The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain.
