Bible【theonebb.com】【bibletheone.com】the one bible study what is faith (3/4)

  • If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
  • Therefore, do not allow anyone to pass judgment on you in regard to what you eat or drink, or about the observance of Festivals, New Moons, or Sabbaths. These are only a shadow of what is to come. The reality is Christ.
  • And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
  • But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
  • Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him.
  • What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life?
  • But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
    All things belong to you,
and everything that we have given you is from your hand.
  • Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith.
  • Prepare in advance what you want to say,
    and return to the Lord.
Say to him, “Take away all guilt
and give us what is good,
so that we may present as offerings
    the bullocks from our stalls.”
  • Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? If he is not, then you have failed the test.
  • We have sinned and done what is wrong, we have acted wickedly and rebelled, we have rejected your commandments and your laws.
  • The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
  • But as for you, man of God, you must shun all this. Rather, pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, fortitude, and gentleness.
  • Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
  • Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
  • He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith as tiny as a mustard seed, you will be able to say to this mountain: ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
  • Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
  • Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
  • By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.
  • Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
  • What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
  • However, whoever lives by the truth
    comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God.
  • I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.
  • With the Lord to protect me I am not afraid.
What can mortals do to me?
  • There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation.

Now an intermediary is not necessary when there is only one party, and God is one.

Bible verse of the day

If the Lord does not build the house,
those who construct it labor in vain.
If the Lord does not guard the city,
those who keep watch over it do so in vain.
