- Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
- A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
- A person of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.
- But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
- Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend,
And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster;
Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away. - Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
- If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
- This is what the Lord of armies has said: ‘Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother; and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.’
- Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way.
- Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor hold any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.
- Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.
- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to live together in unity! - From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.
- You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.
- Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
- Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.
- All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
- Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, mend your ways, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
