- A friend loves at all times;
and a brother is born for adversity. - If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
- If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
- A man of many companions may be ruined,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend.
Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster.
A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother. - Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
- Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother. Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’
- If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.”
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.
- Therefore let’s not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother’s way, or an occasion for falling.
- Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- See how good and how pleasant it is
for brothers to live together in unity! - So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
- Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous.
- Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
- In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another.
- By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
- Let brotherly love continue. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God.
- Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
- Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer and supplication, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles,
that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’Next verse! With image
