Fix your gaze directly before you. - Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. - You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
- Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
- For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens,
and your truth to the skies. - My son, keep your father’s commandment,
and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. - Honor Yahweh with your substance,
with the first fruits of all your increase. - Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.
- Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones. - Pray like this:
‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Let your Kingdom come.
Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you.
Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.
