Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. | It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. |
A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible. | A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. |
The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright, But ruin to the workers of injustice. | The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. |
One who walks in integrity walks securely, But one who perverts his ways will be found out. | He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. |
