| For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. | For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. |

| For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. | For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. | For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church.
