And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. This is the true God and eternal life. |
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!” | Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” |
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. | Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day— things which are only a shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. |

Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. | Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. |
For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds. | For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every person according to his deeds. |
