Come (4/4)

  • And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.
  • From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
  • Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
  • And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
  • Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
  • Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
  • When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
  • Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
  • Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
  • Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
  • But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.
  • The hope of the righteous brings joy,
    but the expectation of the wicked will perish.
  • Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
    he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
  • And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
  • To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
  • Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
  • Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
  • A fool's lips walk into a fight,
    and his mouth invites a beating.
  • My soul yearns for you in the night;
    my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
    For when your judgments are in the earth,
    the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
  • No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
  • And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
  • For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live.”
