- Let your attitude be identical to that of Christ Jesus.
- This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
- Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name
that is above all other names,
so that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

- Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- Above his head was inscribed the charge against him: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
- God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- And my God will fully supply all your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
- For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
- Then the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”
- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born from above.” - Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” - But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
