Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! | Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples. |

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. | But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. |
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. | So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. |

Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.” |

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. | Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. |
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. | Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. |
