- Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
- Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
- If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
- But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
- When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
- The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
- Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
- Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
- Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
- Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
- And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
- For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
- With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
- Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
