- Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,
for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,

Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. - Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
- For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
- Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
- I hasten and do not delay
to keep your commandments. - He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? - But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.

- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.
- When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
- Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
- Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
- See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
