| Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. |
| If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive. | If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. | Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. | Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. | Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
| And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. | And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. |
