- Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
- Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
- Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
- No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
- Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
- And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
- Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
- We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
- Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord. - For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
- Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- You are altogether beautiful, my darling;
there is no flaw in you. - Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
- Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
- This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him. - For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
- Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
- In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.Next verse!With image
