| O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. | In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. |

| God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? | There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? |
| For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. | For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. |

I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. | For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. |
| He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. | Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. | It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel. |
| You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way. | You are all fair, my love, And there is no spot in you. |
| Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. | But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. |
