Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Face'
- As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love. - Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always. - Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always. - But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace. - For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
- Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”
- It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved them. - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
- He builds his lofty palace in the heavens
and sets its foundation on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name. - And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? - Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
- He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
