Bible Verses about 'For unto us a child is born'
- For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us;

- The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; for that reason also the holy Child will be called the Son of God.”
- But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
- Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

You have refined us as silver is refined. - A wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother. - You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,

And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.

Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. - Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

My own heart also will be glad. - For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.
- Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands. - In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.
- For Your goodness is great to the heavens
And Your truth to the clouds. - For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,
The Lord is our king;
He will save us. - By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything.
- We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.
- Listen, my son, and accept my sayings,

- Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.
- For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel.
